San Francisco just got a lot sweeter. The Museum of Ice Cream San Francisco opened its doors September 15 at 1 Grant Ave. This is where you transform sweet childhood dreams into reality! Explore Wonka-like rooms such as a magical gummy bear garden and rock candy caves. For a little excitement, experience a ring toss game using whipped cream cans as pins. The cherry on top of the exhibit is the Sprinkle Pool! Got a sweet tooth? I sure do. To my advantage, sweet treats were scattered everywhere – from cotton candy sprinkled with magical pixie dust, pop rocks, and ice cream! I devoured a Strawberry Snap Sundae from Bi-Rite made of ginger snap ice cream, savory sweet ginger crumble and strawberry basil sauce. It was delicioso! I also enjoyed a cookies and cream flavored Mochi by My/Mo, Unicorn Milk Ice Cream, and “sprinkle pool” ice cream. I got quite the Sugar High! The museum’s sugary pink walls and the swing set beneath pink bananas are perfect backdrops for endless photo-ops. The museum is a nostalgic place for adults to feel like children again, and for children to keep being themselves! Previously, this wildly popular ice cream exhibit was in Los Angeles and New York, but San Francisco is the largest one. Visiting the Museum of Ice Cream San Francisco was a magical and surreal experience that I will never forget! The tickets come to a pricy, $38, but it’s worth every penny! I scream, you scream, we all scream for Museum of Ice Cream San Francisco!
