In an era when CEOs sport jeans and hoodies, it’s hard to know how to dress for your job. “Business casual” doesn’t mean what you wear on the weekends around the house. Being underdressed is a common new employee mistake. My “9-5 wardrobe mantra” is “Dress for the job you want”. Dress a step above your position not only for what it says about you but also because it shows your respect for those you meet and work with. The small things can make such a big difference.
One of my favorite places to shop for work clothes is White House Black Market. Their clothing is classic, chic, and reasonably priced. Clothing items from White House Black Market can be dressed up or down and transitions seamlessly from work to weekend attire. From a dress fit for the boardroom to a printed dress that is memorable for all the right reasons, White House Black Market has something chic for every occasion.
