Right off the main street in McMinnville, Oregon, you’ll find the Atticus Hotel – a tastefully designed modern hotel.
Upon arrival, you’ll immediately notice the fleet of branded bicycles awaiting your use. Walk inside the hotel and you’ll be greeted by Gatsby-esque decor as well as a secret door next to the check-in desk that leads to a drawing room for private parties!
If you’re arriving during Happy Hour, you’ll be greeted with a flute of bubbly. It was my first time trying sparkling wine from the surrounding Willamette Valley and it was delightful!
I had the pleasure of staying in the Luxe Balcony Suite named after the famed aviator, Howard Hughes who’s massive plane, the Spruce Goose, sits just a couple miles away at the Evergreen Aviation Museum. It’s tastefully appointed with its own deck overlooking downtown McMinnville. In addition, there’s an awesome clawfoot bath tub. Just toss some bath salts in there and soak – your chill level will be 100!
Every morning, I headed downstairs for a cappuccino made from the hotel’s fancy coffee machine. Their coffee is complimentary for hotel guests and sure perks you up! If you get hungry, head to Red Hills Kitchen located in the hotel’s lobby.
Overall, the location, tastefulness and comfort of the Atticus Hotel beckons me back to the Willamette Valley. I look forward to visiting again!
I’m ready to visit the Willamette Valley! The Atticus hotel looks like a wonderful hotel to stay at!
