Steps from Union Square and Chinatown is Hotel Triton, a luxury boutique hotel with vibrant interiors. Its contemporary design focuses on the well-cultured traveler and Danish concept of “Hygge” which incorporates a feeling of coziness and wellbeing.
Upon walking into the hotel, you’ll want to lounge and flip through coffee table art books. Grab yourself a cup of coffee or chilled water and make yourself comfortable.
Eventually, I made my way up to the Grant Avenue Suite that includes a king bed with plush Frette bedding. To my surprise, there was a bottle of sparkling wine and snacks waiting for me!
One of my favorite French bistros in SF, Cafe de la Presse is located next door and its nice that the hotel offers guests the option to order from their menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We went there for cocktails and a snack before a late dinner at Gary Danko.
It was my first time dining at Gary Danko and it’s an experience I will never forgetl! From their signature cheese cart to flambéed bananas prepared table side over an open flame…everything is divine! I selected a three course tasting menu and the presentation of each dish was impeccable! A couple of my favorite dishes were:
– Risotto with Rock Shrimp, Dungeness Crab, Squash and Beech Mushrooms
– Flambéed Bananas with Tres Leches Cake, Coconut Streusel and Vanilla Ice Cream
It was a fun and special weekend in SF!
