Tucked just off of Highway 1 in Jenner, The Driftwood Lodge is where California’s stunning coastline meets the serene redwood forest.
Perched on a hill above the Sonoma Coast, one can expect panoramic views of crashing waves, breathtaking sunsets, and many areas to lounge and connect with those you love. If you’re looking to host an event, just down the path from the lodge is a 2,000 square-foot barn that’s perfect for hosting a soirée.
While onsite, one can master the art of doing nothing! This includes skills such as lounging in the hot tub, playing board games, and snuggling by the fire. If you’re looking for a little activity, there’s a private trail to Fort Ross Creek which allows you to get your steps in for the day.
The room I stayed in features a private deck with a beautiful ocean view, a spacious bathtub, sauna, and cozy fireplace. Having a kitchen and grill was great as it allowed us to stay in and enjoy meals while watching the sun slowly set over the Pacific Ocean.
If you’re looking to be productive, The Driftwood Lodge is also a great spot for working remotely. It comes with Starlink WiFi, a dedicated desk and printer.
If you want to go offsite and explore, there are many wonderful and unique things to do in the area. I especially enjoyed exploring Fort Ross, a former Russian settlement, just a few minutes drive down the coast.
My stay at The Driftwood Lodge was wonderfully peaceful. The sun hits the Sonoma Coast differently, creating the most magnificent sunsets! The Driftwood Lodge is a truly special stay that’s conveniently located off of California’s Highway 1.
Great pics and info. Will come in handy this summer or fall Thanks Rachael.
