The Granary at Macaroni Farm in The Cotswolds offers an idyllic setting with modern luxuries. It’s a self-catered accommodation set on a farm built in the 1600s. Across from The Granary, one can find beautiful horses, chickens, and sheep roaming about – they are quite lovely neighbors. 😊 There’s also a barn that offers a space for private entertaining, conferences and classes.
The Granary is beautifully decorated and offers the perfect setting to relax. From The Granary doorstep one can find miles of countryside walks. Its location is remote yet well situated to visit Lechlade, Fairford, Cirencester, Bibury and Burford amongst other charming towns.
Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by the host, Liza and in the kitchen a chic Fortnum & Mason basket awaited us. It was filled with baked bread, eggs, and butter – a very nice and thoughtful touch!
The Granary was once a grain store and it retains the same feel – there are exposed beams, stone, and stone pillars. The ground floor features a large open plan kitchen and sitting room complete with underfloor heating and electric wood burner.
Upstairs one will find one double room and one twin room. Overall, there are two bathrooms.
Although The Granary is the perfect spot to get away from the hustle and bustle, its internet is fast, in case you need to work remotely or leisurely surf the web. Try not to get bogged down with work though as the surrounding Cotswolds countryside is pure bliss. There is a washer/dryer in the house too which is great to have after roaming about in the fields.
The host, Liza was very kind and provided wonderful recommendations for restaurants and activities in the area.
Overall, I had a wonderful stay at The Granary – it’s the epitome of a quintessential English Countryside stay.
Rachel this looks so quaint and perfect for a relaxing get away!! You do such a nice job of selecting unique, dreamy locations and capturing the essence for us all to enjoy!
Thank you, Carolyn!
