Due to COVID and things being shut down, it had been awhile since I visited San Francisco. Now that things are pretty much back to normal in the San Francisco Bay Area, I attended an exclusive media event at Top of the Mark to celebrate its reopening and get a “first taste” of new offerings.
Top of the Mark is located high atop the 19th floor of the timelessly elegant InterContinental Mark Hopkins Hotel, a Historic Hotel of America. Its iconic sky lounge features dazzling 360-degree views, entertainment, fascinating history and has been wooing guests since 1939.
Top of the Mark recently partnered with Hanson of Sonoma Organic Vodka, and is now offering a “Vodka Expressions” service – a table side cart experience, where select organic vodkas from Hanson are paired with caviar or Kollar Chocolates artisan truffles.
I sampled a variety of Hanson of Sonoma Organic Vodkas (Original, Mandarin, Cucumber, Lemon, and Habanero) and they paired perfectly with caviar from The Caviar Company and Kollar Chocolates.
Michael Pace, General Manager of the InterContinental Mark Hopkins, Chris Kollar of Kollar Chocolates, as well as Alanna and Brendon Hanson of Hanson Sonoma Organic Vodka attended the event to mingle with guests and answer questions.
That evening, I stayed at the Mark Hopkins Hotel in a Terrace Suite perched high above Nob Hill. There’s a glass-enclosed terrace, large marble bathrooms, and a deep soaking tub with Jacuzzi jets. It was a sophisticated stay with old San Francisco charm and modern amenities.
The InterContinental Mark Hopkins is a truly special San Francisco hotel. I’ve visited countless times and whenever I visit wonderful new memories are made!
